On June 11, 2025, I visited Selective Automotive in Pelham, AL, and put down a $1000 deposit toward a vehicle I was interested in. The salesman I dealt with was Terrell Jones. I eventually changed my mind and decided not to go through with the purchase. I contacted the dealership to let them know I had changed my mind and requested a refund of my deposit. They refused to return the money—even though the sale was never finalized, no paperwork was completed, and no vehicle was taken. I was met with unprofessional behavior, a lack of communication, and no accountability for keeping my deposit under these circumstances. It was clear they had no intention of working with me fairly, and I feel like I was scammed out of $1000. Selective Automotive clearly lacks integrity and basic customer respect. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you’re considering buying from them, be extremely cautious before handing over any money. I learned the hard way, and I hope this saves someone else from going through the same experience.

Based off how the girl “working” (on her phone) the front desk, cut me off and told me to go upstairs and find a salesman, only to walk up there and not see anyone… (I was not about to start knocking on random doors.). I was not going to beg these people to sale me a car. I just left. Also look at the owners replies. Either everyone leaving a bad review is lying or they have the wrong business. I would steer clear of this place.

I recently visited Selective Automotive, and the experience was exceptional. The customer service was friendly and helpful, offering honest advice. The selection was impressive, and I found the perfect car. The buying process was smooth. I highly recommend Selective Automotive! Five stars!

Selective Automotive is a excellent company to buy from. Mr. Jones is a very knowledgeable and professional salesman, he is willing to go the extra mile to get the deal done! he will treat the customer as if he or she is a family member trying to buy a good dependable luxury car.. I highly recommend this company.

I’ve recently done business with Mr. Jones and this has been the best car buying experience I’ve ever had!! Very professional and they are always one call away should you have any questions. I originally reached out to him a few months ago and that wasn’t the best time for me since I had no credit established....I thought that was just the end for me and I couldn’t do anything about it, but Mr. Jones kept me in mind and came up with a game plan that could really benefit a young man like myself trying to establish credit. I encourage ANY first time buyers to deal with Mr. Jones. Excellent cars and service 💪🏽
